Contact us on 1800 MY GMCU (1800 694 628) or visit one of our branches with photo identification.

If you know your existing password:

  1. Login to Internet Banking > select Maintenance > select Change Password.
  2. Enter your existing and new password.

Please note: all passwords are case sensitive. Make sure that you enter carefully and correctly.

To reset your password, you will be required to have SMS Security registered on your account.

To register for SMS Security, please contact us.

If you’ve forgotten your password or locked yourself out of Internet Banking:

  1. Go to our Internet Banking login page > click Forgot your password?
  2. Enter your member number and date of birth.
  3. Select next > then click to get an SMS one-time password.
  4. Enter your SMS one-time password and your new Internet Banking password.
  5. Login to Internet Banking.

If you do not receive you SMS one-time password please contact us.

A One-Time Password (OTP) is a single use six-digit security code sent to your registered mobile number by SMS. OTPs are commonly used as an extra layer of protection to enhance security when banking online.

Even if someone knows your password, they can’t access your account without the unique code sent to you via SMS. Because OTPs are:

  • Time-sensitive (expire quickly)
  • Single-use
  • Sent only to your registered mobile number

They make it much harder for fraudsters to gain access to your account, helping to keep your money and personal information safe.

Don’t disclose this code to anyone, even GMCU staff (Tip: scammers will often impersonate bank staff to get access to your accounts).

If you haven’t set up OTP yet, follow these steps:

  • Log into Internet Banking
  • Click on Settings
  • Select Setup Security Options from the dropdown
  • Follow the prompts to register your mobile number

A maximum daily limit of $500 per account applies for external payments. You can apply for an increased limit; however you must be registered for second factor authentication via a SMS One Time Passcode.

The daily limit is irrespective of the number of Authorised signatories to an account.

Loan redraw is captured by the daily limits.
