As a Member Services Officer (MSO), you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes members into our branches and sets the tone for an exceptional GMCU experience. Whether you’re a seasoned banking professional or brand new to the industry, we’ve got you covered with comprehensive and supportive training that will help you to thrive.

What your day could look like:
- Delivering seamless financial transactions that make members’ lives easier
- Having meaningful, needs-based conversations to help members achieve their goals
- Sharing your knowledge of our banking and insurance products to empower and support members
- Jumping in to support other roles or branches when needed—because flexibility is part of the fun!
- Representing GMCU at community events and building strong local connections

About You
We’re looking for an MSO that brings energy, passion and a genuine desire to make a difference. To thrive in this role:

- You’re ready to grow: Hold Tier 2 certification or can successfully complete within three months of joining GMCU.
- You’re a people person: Have demonstrated sales or customer service skills and know how to create an exceptional customer experience.
- You shine with enthusiasm: You’re driven to create an exceptional member experience in every interaction.
- You can communicate with clarity: Whether written, or face to face you will communicate with confidence and clarity.
- You’re detail orientated: Have a keen eye for detail and can spot the little things which make a big difference.
- You’re tech savvy: You’re comfortable working on a computer and software (e.g. Microsoft Office, POS systems) and adapting to new systems.
- You can working independently: You can manage priorities and achieve defined objectives without needing constant direction.
- Are a true team player: You contribute positively to the team and help to create a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Ready to hit the road: You hold a current Victorian drivers’ licence and can travel within the Goulburn Valley region if needed.
